Tourism Authority: Digital platform to access crafts launched
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTA) launched a new application for smart phones that will allow individuals to access craft products.
The announcement was made on the sidelines during the conclusion of the fourth edition of the Harfana Festival.
The festival witnessed the participation of 10 Bahraini craftsmen and 10 Omani craftsmen, who exhibited products in a variety of fields, including silver, wood, copper, safflower, textile, perfumes and incense. While local products were exhibited in the fields of basket making, traditional musical instruments, wooden boxes, pottery, model shipbuilding and others.
The application will provide a unified electronic platform that allows users to see all the craft products, and request through the application of Bahrain Handicrafts, to be connected to them.
