Shaikh Khalid aims to make Brave best on international level

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) affirmed that the Brave Combat Championship is steadily continuing its strides towards becoming the best on international level.

These statements by HH Shaikh Khalid were announced in an interview with ESPN5 sports channel during His Highness’s stay in the Republic of the Philippines on the invite of Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines. His Highness stated: “The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines are bonded by strong bilateral ties in various fields.

This has contributed to the fast growth of mutual relations, which reflected on the development of both countries and opened new horizons of cooperation in new fields, especially sports, creating opportunities that would positively impact the development of this cooperation.”

HH Shaikh Khalid said: “The Philippines has succeeded in hosting the 22nd edition of Brave Combat Championship, by facilitating it and contributing to organising this event, which was launched from the Bahraini Capital, Manama, and was held in different cities across the world, reiterating the success of the Bahraini experiment in the field of combat sports and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), especially on the professional level.

“This supports the Bahraini efforts dedicated to promoting and strengthening the culture of this sport and to reaffirm on the Kingdom’s endeavours to embrace MMA professional athletes and to have a positive impact on development of the sport,” His Highness added.
