Bahrain symbolises ‘values of openness, moderation and tolerance’

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the World Peace and Love Association (FOBAL) in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom in Vienna launched the International Day of Conscience at a ceremony held at the United Nations Headquarters for Europe in Vienna. It was attended by a large crowd comprising figures from diplomatic, social, media, economic and cultural circles. In his message, His Royal Highness stressed that the global conscience should be more positive and should move more vigorously in tackling all the causes that shake global security and stability.

“It should ensure that the collective action approach should be oriented to establishing the foundations of a peace that provide the climates enabling peoples to pursue development efforts. “Today’s world is facing consecutive events and changes that put it face to face with many political, economic, and social challenges,” the Premier said. “We, in the Kingdom are keen, with the rest of the world’s countries, within the framework of the international order, to consecrate efforts for security, peace, stability, and economic prosperity in all world regions and countries.”

HRH the Prime Minister said that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supports all international efforts and pursuits that seek to promote the culture of peace as a pressing need for humanity in order to uphold the values of civilisation. He said the Kingdom has become today a symbol of the values of openness, moderation, and tolerance that accommodate everybody.

HRH the Premier stressed the importance of launching the International Day of Conscience as a global event that deserves to be commended and that efforts continue to preserve the right to a secure and stable life and sustainable development that promotes human well-being.

He said that day was an occasion to stress the necessity for world countries to join in the will to end the suffering of millions of human beings in numerous regions and to continue efforts to protect the right to secure and stable life and to sustainable development that enhances human welfare.
