Hamad Town school incident probe committee meets

Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the meeting of the probe committee in charge of investigating the incident of Hamad Town Intermediate Girls School. The committee is waiting for the results of the ongoing investigations being carried out by the Public Prosecution into the criminal aspect of the incident, it is learnt.  

The committee will partly rely in its final decisions and recommendations on the results of the Public Prosecution’s investigation into using some banned materials, which were included in the incident, and the parents’ complaints over posting a video related to the incident on social media networks. The Deputy Premier asserted that His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa is closely following up on the probe committee’s work progress.

On the other hand, in line with the directives of the Deputy Premier, the probe committee Chairman, the committee spotlighted a number of issues related to the incident, including the notification and administrative inspection procedures as well as psychological and educational supervision at schools.
