Saudi stances backed
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the regular weekly Cabinet session, attended by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
HM, the King lauded the fraternal historic visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Bahrain last Thursday, expressing the pride of the kingdom’s leadership, government and people in the visit. HM King Hamad stressed that King Salman’s visit embodies the solid long-standing relations between the two sisterly Kingdoms’ leaders and their constant coordination on various regional issues, Cabinet Secretary-General, Dr. Yasser Al Nasser, said in a statement following the session, held at the Al Sakhir Palace yesterday. HM King Hamad informed the Cabinet about his talks with the Saudi King during the latter’s recent successful visit to the Kingdom, noting that they aimed to bolster the distinguished deep-rooted Bahraini-Saudi relations and co-operation.
HM, the King lauded the distinguished regional and international status enjoyed by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, hailing its prominent role in facing the multiple challenges that jeopardize Arab and regional security.
The talks between the two great leaders focused on brotherly relations, bilateral co-operation and regional issues of common interest, the session was told.
HM King Hamad recalled with pride and appreciation the stances adopted by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in support of Bahrain, noting that that those honorable stances will always be remembered by Bahrain’s leadership and people, and will remain engraved in the national memory.
