Bahrain rejects Israeli statement to annex West Bank
Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released an official statement rejecting a statement made by the Israeli Prime Minister to annex settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The decision reflects the Kingdom’s stance in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and the two-state solution with regard to efforts to attain a comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian issue.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged, if elected, he would annex Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
In support of the rights of Palestinian people, Bahrain urged the International Community to compel Israel to stop all illegal settlement activities and respect the relevant resolutions of the international legitimacy.
