6pc increase in number of travellers at causeway

A six percent increase was noted in the number of travelers at King Fahad Causeway Authority during the first quarter of this year. According to the King Fahad Causeway Authority (KFCA), the amount of traffic at the causeway this year has been more than usual. The Director-General of the King Fahad Causeway Authority (KFCA), Emad Al Muhaisen said that the causeway saw record travellers last Saturday.

“Last Saturday, King Fahad Causeway saw a record number of travelers since the causeway was first opened. “To be exact, 119,320 travelers made use of the causeway on that day. From 5 to 6th April, there were 228,421 travelers, which also created a record for the largest number of travelers in two consecutive days,” a King Fahad Causeway Authority representative, said.

“According to the latest statistics, there has been an improvement of about 6 pc in the number of travelers at the causeway,” the representative added. In another development, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received Director General of King Fahad Causeway Organisation Dr. Emad Ibrahim Al Mohesain, in the presence of senior officials.
