‘Darkness Into Light’ event to tackle increasing suicides
The Kingdom will host its annual ‘Darkness Into Light’ walk on Nurana Beach on May 11, 2019. The walk aims to tackle increasing number of suicides across the world while promoting specialized treatment programmes for people, who have suicidal ideation. The event was first held by Pieta House, a non-profit organization, in Ireland.
Speaking to Tribune, Mary Murphy, organizer of Darkness Into Light Event Bahrain, said: “Our flagship fundraiser, the phenomenon that is Darkness Into Light, an event that is almost entirely organized by our amazing volunteers continues to go from strength to strength. “This unique event takes place just as we’re coming into summer and our spirits are being lifted.
