Startup Factory to mentor budding entrepreneurs

The Startup Factory - a new local Bahraini Incubator targeting the youth, was officially launched yesterday. The event was held under the patronage of Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital. Founded by Hamed Fakhro and located in Seef (Orchid Building), the Startup Factory is an incubator targeting local start-ups that need guidance and support.

Utilizing a vast network of specialist mentors, companies, and government relationships, Mr. Fakhro will guide and assist them as a mentor and show how to start and maintain their companies. Part of the services offered is financial planning, cash flow management, product development, marketing training, team building, funding, and mentorship.

“The Startup Factory is playing a role identifying and promoting our local talent, and our ultimate goal is to help create and nurture Bahraini companies that can export their goods and services to the rest of the world. I’ve already seen the great potential and can’t wait to see how they perform,” he said.

According to Mr. Fakhro, each start-up will have a custom-made programme tailored to their needs. “Some need no help, just a finger in the right direction, and others need specialized training and guidance. Our partner companies are available for in-house training, mentorship, and downstream subcontracting.
