BAC steps up preparations for new terminal launch with additional recruitment
The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) held a ceremony to welcome 20 Tahleeq Three participants, 13 new Hala Bahrain employees, and seven new ICT department help desk team members. The additional recruitment is an important component of the new Passenger Terminal Building launch and reflects the BAC’s continued commitment to Bahrainisation. In attendance were BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, Vice President of Human Resource and Administration, Hind Mahmood, Vice President of ICT, Najwa Abdulrahim and other BAC management team members.
Tahleeq 3 is the biggest capacity building intake in the training series to date. Participants will work within different BAC departments, including ICT, Development and Technical, Commercial and Marketing and Human Resources gaining theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
After completing the four-year training programme, graduates will join BAC as full-time employees, working in specialized fields that support the development of the Kingdom’s aviation sector. Hala Bahrain’s new junior agents will play important roles at the new Passenger Terminal Building, ensuring that the increased number of passengers expected enjoy a welcoming, stress-free, and convenient airport experience.
They will provide a range of services, including meet & greet, concierge, lounge management, transportation, and more, which reflect the warm hospitality the Kingdom is known for. Meanwhile, the new ICT team members will the first line of response through the help desk and will provide vital technical support to ensure BAC’s systems work efficiently and effectively.
Mr. Al Binfalah said: “We look forward to working with our new team members in the lead up to the official launch of the Passenger Terminal Building later this year. Having the right people in place is essential to achieve the Airport Modernisation Programme’s (AMP) objectives of building capacity and transforming the overall airport experience and increasing the aviation sector’s contribution to the local economy.
