Mideast Asset Management Forum held

Global Investor Group in co-operation with the Central Bank of Bahrain hosted the fourth Middle East Asset Management Forum, which witnessed more than 180 delegates from the MENA financial services sector.

Held at the Gulf Hotel, the wide variety of panelists included asset managers, bankers, lawyers, brokers, academics, regulators, and various world-renowned executives who addressed the main issues, opportunities and challenges facing the industry today. In addition, the event further examined the outlook for asset managers, fixed income, regulation, fintech disruption and much more. 

Speaking to Tribune, Abdul Rahman Al Baker, Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision at CBB, said “It is a great pleasure to be a part of the fourth Annual Middle East Asset Management Forum. I would like to commend the organizers for putting together a stimulating programme, which will no doubt enrich the ongoing dialogue and debate on the asset management industry in the Mena region.

“The assets management industry has grown to become an increasingly substantial segment within the international financial markets. Generally, it is estimated that the assets management industry has globally reached around US$80 trillion last year.
