CSB set to regulate use of social media by govt staff
President of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), Ahmed bin Zayed Al Zayed, stated yesterday that the bureau, in co-operation with the Ministry of Information Affairs, will organize a meeting to set up control for the public sector employees to deal with the media and social networking platforms.
The meeting will focus on promoting national values, developing governmental systems, and facing moral upheaval through social networking platforms. Mr. Al Zayed clarified that the meeting, to be held on May 5, in the presence of human resources assistant undersecretaries, human resources and communication directors in all government entities, aims at clarifying the necessary controls regulating the way government employees deal with the media and social media channels.
The President of the Civil Service Bureau said that during the meeting, those concerned in the Civil Service Bureau, in co-operation with the Ministry of Information Affairs would also present a guide on the use of social networks in government agencies issued by the Ministry of Information Affairs.
