Russian woman arrested for drug peddling
The High Criminal Court sentenced a Russian drug dealer to five years behind bars for peddling Shabu drugs in Bahrain. The woman, a Russian national, was also fined BD3000 and was ordered to be deported after completing prison terms.
Police nabbed the suspect in a sting operation following a tip-off received from sources on her illicit activities. According to court files, the Russian woman was active in Juffair and Manama areas.
She was found in possession of BD1750 and 600 Saudi riyals as well as 76 US dollars and a digital scale following a search operation conducted at her apartment.
