Royal team shine in Windsor
Royal team’s strong performance in the 120 km and 80 km categories of the Royal Windsor Endurance Race were hailed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
“I am very happy with the results accomplished,” said HH Shaikh Nasser, the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council of Youth Sports and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance team. “We want to continue on this path and gain more experience as we look forward to getting more positive results at the international level, including in the Royal Windsor Endurance Race which was established by Bahrain following directives from HM the King in appreciation to the strong ties between Bahrain and the UK,” Shaikh Nasser added.
The outcomes, Shaikh Nasser said, confirm the team’s readiness for the European season. HH Shaikh Nasser praised Jaffar Mirza for winning first place in the race, saying, “The presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Queen Elizabeth II played a key role in winning top places.”
“It’s a great delight to see how much our King was happy with our team’s performance in this race which featured participants from Bahrain, UAE and Britain, and several European countries,” HH Shaikh Nasser explained, pointing out that the race was contested tightly.
