Mosquito matters

After several sleepless nights, residents in the Northern Governorate can now heave a sigh of relief. Authorities there might have found a solution to one of their most painful and itching problem, mosquitos.

According to the Director-General of Northern Governorate, Police yesterday seized several tanker trucks pumping sewage water into fields in the governorate. This, according to officials, could also be the reason for the mosquito-infested marshes there. According to yesterday’s finding, the culprit to the mosquito-infested marshes could be the sewer water discarded by the tankers. Earlier, when the issue got severe, residents in the Northern Governorate raised it to the northern municipal council who in turn alerted the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry officials also deployed personnel to spray mosquito repellents and to take other necessary measures.  Authorities, however, were soon baffled by the up-tick in the mosquito population, despite all efforts.
