Abandoned Indian expat gets ‘Out Pass’
An Indian expat who was stranded in the Kingdom for 15 years finally received an Out Pass from the Indian embassy here. Hailing from Chhattisgarh, India, the man worked as a technician for a couple of months, after coming here.
Sudheer Thirunilath, Director Humanitarian Aid Middle East at World NRI Council told Tribune, “Saroop Lal worked as a technician for a company for a couple of months. He then did odd jobs and lived at random rooftop of buildings.”
“A few days ago we got a call saying that an Indian man is at a roadside and extremely ill. We later found him from Riffa at a roadside very sick as he had a hernia. We transferred him immediately to Salmainya Medical Complex.”
