Video Footage: Three cases of men harassing women in two days, KSA

A total of three cases involving men harassing women in public have been reported in Saudi Arabia within a span of 48 hours according to the Saudi press.

Two cases involve physical harassment; both took place in supermarkets with proof of CCTV footage whereas the other incident took place on the streets of Khobar.

Statistics show that incidence of harassment has drastically come down in KSA from 708 cases in 2018 to 579 this year.

Khobar Incident:

Saudi police arrested a man who allegedly harassed a woman near a café on the streets of Khobar.

In a bid to ward off the indecent man, the young woman began recording his behavior on her phone. The voice of the woman threatening to take the man to the law unless he stopped harassing her can be heard.

The man was unaffected by the threats and continued to harass the woman.

The video went viral on social media platforms urging the man to change his looks by shaving off his beard but despite that the police were able to track him down.

Dammam Incident:

CCTV footage from a supermarket in Dammam show a man standing behind an abaya clad woman and deliberately thrusting himself on her.

The startled girl gathers her belongings and hastily exits the supermarket while the man remained in the store casually shopping.

Tabuk Incident:

The second supermarket harassment case took place in Tabuk. Security footage shows a young woman at the counter paying for her purchase when a man walks past her from behind and touched her inappropriately.
