Serving special Iftar treat for road users
Syed Mohammed a special needs youngster illuminated this year’s Iftar distribution campaign organized by Fazat Shabaab which distributed 40,000 packets. The 21-year-old, Fazat Shabaab spokesperson said, was part of their campaign in Salmabad. “He did a great job.”
“He was an energetic presence for the team,” the spokesperson said. Fazat Shabaab, organized the campaign in collaboration with Ramadanaman, Ministry of Interior and Bahrain scooter club. Food packages were distributed to motorists at traffic signals during the Maghrib azaan time.
“We covered Muharraq, Salmabad, Um al Hassam, Riffa, and Hamad town,” said Fazat Shabaab spokesperson. When asked about the campaign, the spokesperson said reducing accidents during Ramadan was one of the aims. “Many try to rush home during Maghrib to break their fast on time, resulting in speeding. “We want to put an end to this, hence chose to distribute Iftar meals at signals,” he said.
