His Majesty the King pardons 167 inmates

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued a Royal Decree pardoning and releasing 167 inmates, who have served part of their jail terms. The kind Royal gesture, marking the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, reflects HM the King’s keenness to provide the inmates with an opportunity to integrate society anew and participate in the Kingdom’s development march.

Leaders exchange Eid wishes

Separately, His Majesty King Hamad exchanged Eid Al Fitr greetings with leaders of Gulf, Arab and Islamic countries.  His Majesty held phone calls with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. They exchanged congratulations on the advent of Eid AlFitr, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE and their peoples, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations with further progress and prosperity. HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister also exchanged Eid Al Fitr greetings with Gulf, Arab and Islamic leaders, prime minister and crown princes.  HM, the King also exchanged cables of greeting with HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince.

Al-Jasrah Mosque revamp

On a different occasion, HRH the Premier ordered the re-construction and expansion of Al-Jasrah Mosque to boost its capacity.  The Premier directed to adhere to modern standards and Islamic designs in carrying out the mosque revamp project.

Museum Timings

Military museum in a statement on the occasion said that the museum will be opening its doors to visitors on the second and third Eid Al-Fitr days.  The museum will receive visitors from 9 am until 5 pm
