Abandoned houses in Muharraq instigate fear and concern

The people of Muharraq are faced with a major concern with regard to deserted properties which pose as an easily accessible venue for illegal acts as well as accident prone infrastructure.

The residents of block 203 were startled by a fire that broke out in one of the abandoned houses. Though the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, the residents call for a permanent solution to the eradication of the desolated infrastructure.

Deputy Chairman of the Muharraq Municipal Council, Hassan Al-Dui continued appealing concerned ministries and officials to take the initiative to create logical solutions such as demolition. He said that security authorities can’t enter abandoned properties without prior permission from relevant entities.
