Top comedian tickles the funny bone of Bahrain audience

The Kingdom has been hosting a range of exciting activities and events during every Eid, but this year the festive mode took a comical turn with the performance of one of the world’s greatest comedians. Global comedy superstar Russell Peters performed in Bahrain as part of his brand new Deported World Tour.

The event took place amongst packed crowds at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Thousands of attendees were entertained for two hours straight by the veteran performer who kept the night alive with his signature style, turning stereotypes into humor.

Locals, expats, and visitors from neighboring countries, specifically Saudi Arabia were thrilled to see the Indo-Canadian performer in his natural element as he created laughs, touching upon various cultures and ethnicities. “I have always watched his videos on YouTube and to see him performing live, interacting and engaging with the audience was fantastic,” Ali Ahmer who came to the event with his friends, shared with the Tribune.

Russell Peters, who performed in Bahrain after 11 years, also shared his experience on his Instagram page: “What can I say? Bahrain ... it’s been 11 years since I was last here and I’m so happy to have come back! You guys were so much fun tonight! Thank you, Shukran and I hope to be back sooner than later.”
