UoB maintains elite position in global QS university rankings
The University of Bahrain (UoB) has been listed among the elite Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 1,000 universities in the world. The prestigious annual rankings released by QS has the university continuously maintaining its overall position, and shows the academic reputation improve once again and retain its position in the top 500 globally for employer reputation.
According to the ranking, there are currently over 28,000 universities globally, of which the university managed to be ranked within the top 1,000. In a statement issued to press, UoB President Prof Riyadh Hamzah expressed the highest appreciations on his behalf and behalf of all the affiliates of the University to the Kingdom’s leadership. The President affirmed that achievement was possible by the collaborative and team effort of all the university’s faculty and staff members, students, alumni, and partners.
Prof Hamzah stated: “I am pleased that once again the university has been recognised in the top four per cent globally and ranked in the list of the world’s best universities. “Moreover, I am delighted that we have also maintained our position in the top 2pc globally for employer reputation, this reinforces our position as central to human capital development to allow Bahrain to take advantage of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and support FDI into Bahrain.”
He confirmed that this achievement is due to the continuous support that the University receives from the leadership of the Kingdom, and reflects that efforts that the University places in improving research, innovation and creativity and offering modern academic programmes.
