His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable of thanks and appreciation from the Secretary-General of Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Anaemia Patient Care, Zakariya Al Kadhim, on the World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, marked worldwide every year on June 19.

Al Kadhim extended deepest thanks and gratitude to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant interest in sickle cell patients in Bahrain, and support for the health sector in the Kingdom. He asserted that HRH Premier’s great support has placed Bahrain, during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, among developed countries in treating sickle cell anaemia patients, adding that Bahrain has become a role model in this field thanks to the Prime Minister’s directives to the government to take care of the citizens and improve their living conditions.

Al Kadhim also conveyed to HRH Premier greetings from sickle cell anaemia patients in Bahrain, and their sincere thanks to him for his unwavering interest and care. He wished HRH the Prime Minister abundant health and long life for the best interests of the Kingdom and its citizens.
