SCW Secretary-General receives FDPM fellowship winners

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al Ansari, welcomed the fourth intake of the First Deputy Prime Minister’s (FDPM) Fellowship for a roundtable discussion, at SWC headquarters in Riffa. During the meeting, she affirmed that the FDPM Fellowship reflects His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister’s pioneering vision and efforts in providing Bahrainis with the necessary education and training that they need to meet the requirements of the labor market, increase the competitiveness of the Kingdom’s economy, and improve the government performance - in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

The official praised the high-level content of the program, its focus on thorough analysis, and its ability to promote innovative solutions. But most importantly, she valued the extensive participation of women in the fellowship, which is a testimony of HRH the Crown Prince’s support to the advancement of Bahraini women and their role in national affairs.

Ms. Al Ansari went on to outline the objectives of SCW since its establishment by Royal Decree in 2001, under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women.

In particular, she highlighted the important achievements of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women in deterring discrimination, enhancing women’s participation in all fields of society, and integrating their contributions to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.

Ms. Al Ansari also explained that, under the directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka, the SWC operates under the highest standards, working to develop tools that ensure the appropriate implementation, follow-up, scientific-approach, and transparency of all its activities.
