Drunken European bites Police officer's hand

A European woman has been sentenced to three years in prison and slammed with a 100 BD fine following deportation after assaulting police officers and destroying property at the Hoora police station following her arrest.

Officers on duty received a complaint stating a woman in an abnormal state is causing public disturbance.

Upon approaching the woman, police officers discovered that she was under the influence of alcohol and instructed her to board the police vehicle to which she responded by attempting to flee.

Officers caught up with the woman who attempted to escape the grasp of the officers during which she managed to bite one of the officer’s hand leaving a noticeable injury.

Police officers managed to apprehend the woman after a short pursuit and escorted her to the patrol vehicle where she used foul language at the officers as they drove her to Hoora police station.

The drunken woman continued to resist authorities at the police station and managed to damage property worth 121 BD during the struggle.  

Further investigation revealed that the woman was also an illegal resident.
