UoB Student Council elected

The University of Bahrain (UoB) yesterday organised the 13th Student Council elections. UoB President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi congratulated the winners in polls and extended congratulations to the candidates who were elected unopposed. 

“I congratulate all students on the polls which represent a democratic milestone of the reform project, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,” he said. 

In a statement on the sidelines of the polls, he said that the university would support the newly-elected board, commended the outgoing councils for their positive role in promoting students’ life Meanwhile, Students’ Affairs Dean Dr. Osama Abdulla Al-Jowder said that the polls proceeded smoothly. He hailed students for their cooperation with the High Elections Committee. 

He pointed out that 571 out of a total of 577 eligible students took part in the polls in the College of Art and elected Ahmed Abdulrahman Adam, Ahmed Mohammed Hussain and Bara’a Abdulla Melham. 

Representatives of the other UoB colleges have also been elected.
