Bahrain’s tourism potentials showcased at top India expo

In line with its strategy to participate in exhibitions and events that highlight the Kingdom on the global tourism map and promote its distinctive elements, a delegation from the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) attended the WOW Awards and Convention Asia held in New Delhi, India.  The convention is one of the largest events held, which brings together various Indian companies involved in organising events, weddings, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

The exhibition witnessed the participation of BTEA’s Indian representative office, the national carrier Gulf Air, along with various five-star hotels with distinctive outdoor and indoor wedding halls. Through its participation BTEA aims to promote and further enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a leading destination for weddings and celebrations while demonstrating the Kingdom’s vast potential to attract couples due to its luxury hotels in addition to its tourism and historic facilities.

“Promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain as an ideal destination for weddings and celebrations comes as part of the BTEA’s strategy which focuses on further developing the tourism sector and increasing its contribution to the GDP in line with the Economic Vision 2030. We are participating in this event for the third consecutive year and aim to attract the attention of other companies participating in this prestigious event as well,” said Tourism Advisor at BTEA, Dr. Ali Follad.

The Bahrain Pavilion witnessed high interest from visitors as it showcased the wide range of wedding services and amenities available in the Kingdom. Promotional films were also screened and awards were distributed to the most prominent Indian companies specialised in organising wedding ceremonies.
