BKS Business Icon Award 2019 winner named

Abdulrahman Mohammed Juma, Chairman and Managing Director of the UNEECO, has been named the winner of this year’s Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Business Icon Award, BKS officials said at a press conference held yesterday. The award will be presented by the Kingdom’s Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza at a grand ceremony that will be held at the BKS DJ Hall today.

“UNEECO, an installation, testing and contracting company in the fields of Electrical, Electronics, Communication and Security Engineering Systems has recorded steady growth under the able leadership of Mr Juma,” said Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam President P V Radhakrishna Pillai.

“The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam is thankful to Mr Juma, who has employed hundreds of our compatriots and thereby is helping their families. We take pride in applauding such great personalities and we are glad to host the grand award-ceremony,” Mr Pillai added. Mr Juma currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of UNEECO, Director of Bahrain National Holdings Co, Chairman and Managing Director of Unique Power Switchgears and Chairman of Bahrain National Life Insurance Company. 

The award ceremony will begin at 7.00 pm, which will be followed by the well-known Surya Festival. A Sarod Concert by renowned maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will be the star attraction of the night.
