Expat drowns in swimming pool
An expat drowned in a swimming pool at his residential facility in Umm Al Hassam yesterday. The deceased was identified as 42-year-old Ranjith Karayil, who hailed from the Indian state of Kerala. Sources said he was working for Tatweer Petroleum as a designer and is survived by wife Sini and children.
“Ranjith was playing in the pool with his children. He did not know swimming.” “Ranjith had taken part in a technical seminar organized by the Bahrain Keraleeya Samjam this morning as one of the panelists. The tragedy occurred later in the afternoon,” the sources added. The body of the deceased is being kept at Salmaniya Medical Complex morgue.
