On-the-job training programme launched in 33 institutions
The Council of Representatives’ Secretariat has launched an onthe-job training programme in 33 government and private institutions, which targets developing the competencies of 180 of the Secretariat’s cadre by familiarising them with the expertise of local institutions and the optimal use of financial resources in support of the regulatory and legislative work.
The Council of Representatives’ Secretary-General Rashid Bu Najma said the three-day training programme included learning about the nature of the institutions’ work, addressing challenges through innovative solutions, boosting work-related relationships and build bridges of co-operation and communication.
He said the programme would continue until September and would also include multiple training courses to focus on the legislative work. He noted that the training courses would by intensified during the parliament’s recession in preparation for the next legislative term.
