A govt for the people

The recent directives given by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to expedite the implementation of development projects in the Muharraq Governorate, affirm the government’s approach aimed at enhancing the services delivered to the citizens across the Kingdom’s towns and villages, particularly Muharraq, given its deep-rooted civilisational heritage reflecting Bahrain’s rich history, an article published by Bahrain News Agency said yesterday.

 While chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session recently, HRH Premier gave directives to speed up work at seven mega development and modernisation projects in the Muharraq Governorate, costing about BD50 million, and to complete them according to schedule.

During the same session, HRH Premier reviewed the progress of work at the Saada (Happiness), the Sclerosis Centre and the Long-Stay Care Centre (both within the Muharraq Medical Complex), the Busaiteen Waterfront Development, the commercial complex in Busaiteen, the Grand Muharraq Park and the Muharraq Central Market Development projects. HRH the Premier also gave directives to start preparing for the second phases of some of the seven projects after the completion of their first phases.

The Premier’s directives prove the resolve of the government, under his leadership, to carry on the nation’s progress in various fields, and put in place comprehensive sustainable development gains for the best interests of Bahrain in the present and the future. They are also in line with his constant instructions to ministries and officials to complete projects according to schedule, and according to the highest quality levels so as to reflect positively on the citizens’ daily life, which contributed significantly to the progress boom the Kingdom is currently witnessing.

The government’s work strategy aims to translate the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to meet the needs of the citizens nationwide into the ground. The directives of HRH the Prime Minister to speed up the implementation of projects in Muharraq are part of the government’s determination to continue implementing the royal directives and, therefore, more development projects will cover the Kingdom’s various regions in the coming period, as the government’s ultimate goal is to provide high-quality efficient services that benefit all the citizens.
