Southern Governor chairs meeting on charity work award
Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, chaired a co-ordination meeting with the Bahrain Parents Care Society yesterday.
The meeting focused on the preparations to launch the sixth edition of his award on charity work in September 30. The governor said that Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa’s Charity Work Award, launched 11 years ago, supports charity and voluntary work and serves an important social segment.
He noted that many Bahraini and GCC charity work pioneers have received the prestigious award. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali indicated that the award is granted to institutions and individuals, who have played a great role in humanitarian and charity work, and contributed to providing services at the local and GCC levels.
Those present lauded the role played by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa in supporting charitable and humanitarian initiatives in various fields.
