Solid brotherly ties
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has stressed the depth of the long-standing solid Bahraini-Saudi relations, which are based on strong pillars of fraternity, as well as common visions, understanding and co-ordination. This came as HM the King received, at the Al Sakhir Palace, the Saudi Foreign Minister, Dr Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Assaf, who is on a visit to the Kingdom to sign the minutes of the establishment of the Bahraini-Saudi Co-ordination Council.
The minister conveyed to HM King Hamad greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Bahraini people. HM the King requested the Saudi Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to the Saudi King and Crown Prince, and wishes of ever-lasting progress and prosperity to the brotherly Saudi people.
HM King Hamad welcomed the Saudi Minister, and praised the establishment of the Bahraini-Saudi Co-ordination Council, stressing its importance in enhancing co-ordination, co-operation and complementarity between the two countries in various political, economic, investment, development, military and security fields. The council will also follow up on the progress of work in all joint projects and initiatives, within the two Kingdoms’ deep-rooted relations.
HM King Hamad expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, praising the constant efforts of Saudi Arabia, under his leadership, to support Bahrain and its people in all phases. HM the King also hailed Saudi Arabia’s role in strengthening joint Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) action, as well as its keenness on defending Arab and Islamic interests and strengthening the pillars of peace, security and stability region-wide.
