Foreign Ministry signs MoU with BACA
The Foreign Ministry and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on enhancing co-operation in the diplomatic and cultural fields. This came as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received at the Ministry’s General Court yesterday, BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the signing of the MoU embodies the close co-operation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and reflects their keenness to develop joint co-operation to support their efforts and endeavours to enhance the Kingdom’s status regionally and internationally at all levels. The minister affirmed that the MoU will help in strengthening joint coordination in several international forums.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed also commended the efforts exerted by Shaikha Mai and BACA in preserving and highlighting Bahrain’s heritage and culture, which further enhances the Kingdom’s status among the leading countries of the region in this field. He also wished Shaikha Mai and BACA further remarkable success.
Shaikha Mai expressed her pleasure at signing the MoU with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is based on the continued approach of communication between both sides. She also stressed that this step would bolster co-operation and co-ordination between the two sides at all levels, namely in the fields of diplomacy and culture.
