Cancer screening deal takes effect

The Health and Social Affairs Directorate has started implementing an agreement signed recently between the Interior Ministry and the King Hamad University Hospital.

The accord is in line with the national campaign for early screening of colon cancer. The campaign targets men and women above 45 years. Director of Health and Social Affairs, Major Fatima Omar, highlighted that the campaign aims to enhance awareness about colon cancer and the importance of early detection for a full recovery.

The directorate has called upon people, who want to take part in the campaign to go to the Public Security Clinic, in which they would be assisted by a qualified team.
