Join hands for peace
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called on the international community to step up its efforts to lay the foundations for a stable and peaceful world, in which peoples enjoy prosperity and welfare. HRH the Premier underlined Bahrain’s firm approach and efforts to establish peace and pursue the path of development. “Bahrain is a country of peace and coexistence.
It supports all initiatives and efforts aimed at achieving safe and stable life for all,” he said. The Prime Minister stressed that Bahrain has earned global respect thanks to its balanced policies and moderate approach in dealing with various regional and international issues, and is looking forward to a world in which peace prevails, and countries’ efforts are focused on sustainable development.
HRH the Premier emphasised that Bahrain backs all efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability, especially in light of the on-going regional and international developments, which impose an unstable reality that requires comprehensive co-ordination at all levels. HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he received, at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organisations accredited to the Kingdom, who extended to him sincere congratulations marking the UN’s declaration of the 5th of April of each year as an “International Day of Conscience”, based on an initiative launched by him earlier this year.
During the audience, HRH the Premier delivered a speech in which he welcomed the heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organisations accredited to the Kingdom, and expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to them for taking the initiative to extend congratulations to him on behalf of their countries and organisations. The Prime Minister commended the efforts of the heads of diplomatic missions and their co-operation to strengthen relations between their countries and the Kingdom, stressing Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen its relations with their countries and develop bilateral cooperation with them.
HRH the Premier pointed out that Bahrain has launched many global initiatives to support peace and stability in the world, expressing delight at the UN’s adoption of his initiative to declare the 5th of April of each year as an “International Day of Conscience”. The Prime Minister extended thanks and appreciation to the United Nations for its positive response to his initiative, and efforts in serving the noble goals and objectives aimed at spreading love and peace throughout the world.
Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al Al Shaikh, extended on behalf of the ambassadors, sincere congratulations to HRH Premier on the UN’s adoption of his initiative.
