Customs Affairs unveils new system

Customs President Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa announced yesterday that the Customs Affairs introduced, on September 3, a simplified manual customs database system to facilitate the clearance of packages that arrive to Bahrain for individuals.
He highlighted that the new system would allow importers to either come themselves or assign clearance agents without paying extra fees, except for the fee of Bahrain Airport Service Company (BAS).
He added that the new system was part of the dedication of the Customs Affairs to upgrade systems to better serve the clients.
