Building catches fire in Zinj

A massive fire engulfed a small building in Abugazal area near Zinj yesterday. According to residents, the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire accident. So the fire was unnoticed until a group of children saw it.
"Children who were playing on the ground near the building first spotted the fire and alerted residents in the area. They soon informed the authorities. The Civil Defence authorities rushed to the spot and put out the fire,” a resident said. “The building appeared to have completely damaged in the blaze.”
Meanwhile, no official statement has yet been released about the cause of the fire and the extend of damage to the building due to the fire.
Although, confirming the incident the Interior Ministry tweeted "Civil defence fights a fire in a house in Abugazal area (Oman road). Police at the scene".
