Schoolbag Project to benefit RCO students

Manama

---

The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) disbursed a cash school allowance to enable RCO-sponsored orphans studying at schools and universities to cater for all their school needs.

RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said the Schoolbag Project reflected keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to ensure RCO affiliates have access to good education.

The initiative is also in line with the directives of Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide students with a favourable milieu to pursue their education.

Customers’ Services Director Badr Gamber said the Schoolbag Project was one of RCO’s annual projects, which aim to cater for the needs of students, including clothes and stationery. RCO in concert with Zain company recently distributed 100 schoolbags for its affiliates nationwide as part of the Schoolbag Project.

The project’s inauguration was attended by Head of the Programmes and Activities Department Sawsan Yousef and Head of the Social Research Department Ali Al Basri.
