Bahrain committed to strengthening financial sectors: CP
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince yesterday stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to further strengthening the role of the business and financial sectors, which enhances the economy by providing quality opportunities for citizens. The sectors, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, said performs an important role in supporting Bahrain’s sustainable development goals, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince was speaking as he received the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Bahrain, Abdulla Abdulrazaq Bukhowa, SCB’s Senior Business Advisor, Abdulrahman Buchiri and Hamad Buchiri at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Crown Prince congratulated Bukhowa on his appointment as the first Bahraini to take up the post of CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain.
The Crown prince highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting technological advances within the banking and finance sector and said this has a positive impact on boosting the Kingdom’s competitiveness and reinforcing its position as the hub for banking and finance globally. For his part, the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince and highlighted HRH the Crown Prince’s support and commitment to further developing the Kingdom’s banking and finance sector.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rasheed Al Maaraj, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa were present.
