Bahrain resident passes away

A 47-year-old Bahrain resident died after suffering from meningitis yesterday. The deceased, Cheriyan Thomas, has been a resident in the Kingdom for the past 23 years. He was running an independent businesses firm dealing with construction materials.

Mr Thomas was admitted to Salmaniya Medical Complex after suffering severe back pain yesterday and around 10 am he breathed his last at the hospital, family sources said.

The immediate survivors of the deceased includes wife Susan Philip and three children. The body will be flown home tomorrow, the sources added. A member of Bahrain Marthoma Parish, Mr Thomas was an active member in social circles.
