Bahrain wins over Kareena

Although she has been to many places in the Gulf region, said Superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan, “Bahrain by far has been the most welcoming,” promising this wouldn’t be her last visit to the Kingdom.

Tens of thousands of fans of the prominent Indian actress thronged to the venue yesterday to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, at the inauguration of Malabar Gold and Diamonds new store in Manama yesterday (134 stores worldwide and third in Bahrain).

The excitement extended to all corners of the arena, as eager fans started to line up from the noontime to see their favourite actress, who arrived at 6:30pm to inaugurate the opening of the store, situated close to Gold City, Manama. Kapoor Khan gushed over the welcome extended to her by the organisers and the public, “Just the fact that you all have been waiting here since 1pm and that too in this hot weather, means a lot to me and I am grateful for all the love you have given to me,” she commented.

She also confirmed that she would visit Bahrain again, and next time, with her equally popular, Indian actor, husband Saif Ali Khan.

“Since our fans want to see us together, I hope to bring him with me next time I come here, and I hope that will be soon, for every new store that Malabar Gold and Diamonds opens here, I hope to inaugurate it,” added the superstar.

She took the time to take a few ‘selfies’ with the crowd as she spoke on the stage, also urging them to watch her new film, scheduled to release on Eid Ul Fitr this year (Expected mid July).

Thanking the Malabar family for giving her the opportunity to meet and greet her fan base in Bahrain, she also looked around the new store and handed prizes to the winners of the raffle draw, including prizes of half a kilo of gold.
