His Majesty issues decrees to make new appointments

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued decree 64/2019 amending article 1 of decree 16/2019 on restructuring the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Quality Authority. Ayman Tawfeeq Al Moayed is appointed as Board Chairman succeeding Kamal Ahmed and will serve the remaining period of his predecessor. 

Meanwhile, Amna Ali Al Arayadh is appointed as board member succeeding Hamad Faisal Al Maliki and will serve the remaining period of her predecessor. His Majesty issued Decree 63/2019, restructuring the Board of Directors of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), under the chairmanship of Kamal Ahmed. NSSA’s board comprises Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Naji Sabt Salem Sabt, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Air Commander Waleed Rabia Al Dosary, Captain Jamal Jassim Abdulla Al Dhawadi and University of Bahrain President as members for a four-year term.

Another decree was issued by HM the King to appoint Deputy Ombudsman. Ghada Hameed Habib Ahmed is the new Deputy Ombudsman at the Interior Ministry, with the rank of assistant undersecretary. The Royal Decree stipulates that she will serve for a renewable five-year term. The Interior Minister shall implement the decree, which takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette. 

His Majesty also issued decree 61/2019 appointing Marwan Fouad Salman Kamal as Director General for Planning and Resources at the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Secretariat General. The SCYS Chairman shall enforce the provisions of the decree which shall become effective since the date of its issuance and be promulgated in the Official Gazette. Decree 60/2019 was as well issued by HM the King, appointing deputy chief executive officers at the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA).

Under the Royal Decree, Dr Zakariya Ahmed Al Khaja was appointed as Deputy CEO for Electronic Transformation, and Nabeel Mohammed bin Shams as Deputy CEO for Statistics and Population Registry at iGA. Noof Abdulrahman Jamsheer was appointed the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Urban Planning and Development Authority, with the rank of assistant undersecretary through another decree.

Through another royal decree, Ashraf Hafedh Emam was appointed as Deputy CEO for Resources and Services, Ali Mohammed Al Kooheji as Deputy CEO for Operations and Information Systems and Dr Khalid Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahmed as Deputy CEO for Legal Control at LMRA. The Prime Minister and ministers shall enforce the decree which shall become effective since the date of its issuance and be promulgated in the Official Gazette.
