Bahrain model in tolerance, pluralism: PM

Bahrain is a model to emulate when it comes to dedication and patriotism, said His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday stressing government’s keenness to ensuring the success of Ashoora season.  The government is keen to “dedicate all needed capabilities, in cooperation with the Hussaini Processions General Authority, to ensure the success of Ashoora season,” said HRH the PM. 

The premier then directed the ministries and competent parties to exert all efforts to facilitate the organisation of religious occasions given their role in maintaining the social texture and highlighting tolerance, coexistence and pluralism. “Social unity and cohesion is the pillar of security and stability and a prerequisite for growth and development,” said HRH the Premier. 

The Premier was receiving at Gudaibiyah Palace the representatives of Hussaini community centres headed by Dr Hassan Hameed Al Arayadh.  HRH the Prime Minister welcomed the heads of the Hussaini community centres and members of the Hussaini Processions General Authority, praising their efforts in promoting noble Islamic values.  Ghazi Abdul Mohsin expressed honour in meeting HRH the Prime Minister, thanking him for his efforts to ensure the success of Ashoora season.

He also extended thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his support to religious freedom. He expressed sincerest thanks and respect to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for his role in promoting religious tolerance.

They expressed thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for the government’s keenness to support houses of worship, praising his continuous directives to ensure the success of Ashoora season every year.
