Car thief sentenced to six months in jail
The Lower Criminal Court has sentenced a car thief to six months behind bars for stealing a vehicle from Diraz village. The Bahraini man allegedly used a counterfeit key to unlock the door of the car parked in the village. According to prosecutors, he was involved in similar robberies across the Kingdom. He was arrested after a team of detectives identified him. “I went to Diraz looking for something to steal.
I saw the car and I had counterfeit keys. “I opened the car and saw a wallet inside it. I took the money and fled the scene, driving away,” the defendant told the Prosecutors. The court found the defendant guilty of committing the theft and pronounced its judgement.
