Over 200 students appear for AGU medical entrance tests
Two hundred and four students from GCC states have attended the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) entrance tests to its medicine and medical science courses for the academic year 2019- 2020. They underwent two exams, the first of which measured their knowledge level in basic sciences such as physics, chemicals, math and biologics. Meanwhile, the second exam tested the participants’ English language skills.
The examination processes were personally followed by the Arabian Gulf University President Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly. “For more than 37 years, the AGU has earned a reputation for excellence in the region for its high academic standards, adopting an innovative approach and teaching based on solving medical dilemmas, which has contributed to the refinement of clinical and research skills of students,” Dr Al Ohaly said.
“AGU has made steady steps to improve its education, as a result of which it has received many regional and international awards as well as occupying an advanced ranking at the international level,” he said. He attributed the university’s development to a clear strategic vision tailored by a team working to establish AGU as an innovative academic institution.
He stressed that AGU has been trying since its inception to be a key pillar in advancing the development of the Arabian Gulf society, and it has succeeded in this by graduating more than 2,500 doctors from the GCC states.
