HM King issues two decrees
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree 67/2019 amending Clause one of Decree 35/2016 establishing the Higher Committee for Urban Planning. The designation of “Energy Minister” stated in Clause One of Decree 35/2016 regarding the establishment of the Higher Committee for Urban Planning has been amended to the “Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs”.
New clauses 3, 4, 7 and 8 have been added to Clause One of Decree 35/2016, and the remaining clauses were arranged as follows: Minister of the Interior, Minister of Follow Up at the Royal Court, Minister of Oil and Minister of Finance and National Economy. Clause Three of the Edict stipulated that the Prime Minister and each of the ministers according to their domain will implement the provisions of this Decree effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Separately, His Majesty issued Decree 68/2019 amending Clause One of Decree 1/2011 establishing the High Committee for Natural Wealth and Economic Security. As per Article Three of the Decree, the Prime Minister and each of the ministers according to their domain were tasked to implement this Decree, which becomes effective as from the day after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
