RCO schoolbag project: Funds credited to students’ accounts
The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) yesterday announced crediting funds for purchasing back-to-school supplies to all its sponsored students ahead of the academic year 2019-2020. The “Schoolbag Project” is within RCO’s interest in encouraging its affiliates to pursue their education, said RCO Secretary-General, Dr Mustafa Al-Sayed.
Al-Sayed said RCO is keen to create suitable conditions for orphans to continue their education and achieve outstanding results. The gesture, he said, is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, RCO’s Honorary President to ensure that RCO-sponsored students’ needs are provided.
Al-Sayed extended congratulations to all students on the new school year, wishing everyone success. RCO’s Social Care Director, Badr Ali Qambar, said RCO cares for its sponsored students through many projects including honouring of high-achieving students, rehabilitation courses for its scholarship students, granting scholarships for distinguished students and regular follow-up on its affiliates’ academic performance to motivate them.
