Economic co-operation major pillar of Bahrain-Thailand ties
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the economic field is among the aspects of the distinguished co-operation between Bahrain and friendly Thailand, highlighting the two countries’ shared keenness to bolster bilateral co-operation to serve their solid relations.
HRH Premier stressed the importance of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in supporting the government’s efforts in various countries at the level of sustainable development, through their ability to generate more job opportunities for their citizens, as well to promote national products locally and externally. HRH Premier made the statements while attending the Thai Expo SME One Fest in Bahrain 2019, organized by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion at the Gulf Convention Hall, in co-operation with the Thai Embassy and the Thai Club in Bahrain.
Upon arrival, HRH the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Thai Ambassador Bahrain, Thanis Na Songkhla, and a number of senior state officials. HRH Premier was briefed by the Thai Ambassador about the expo, and the Thai products showcased in it. The Prime Minister also watched a musical show embodying Thai folk art. Then, HRH Premier toured the expo and was informed about the Thai products on display.
The Premier expressed admiration for the Thai products, in terms of quality and design, wishing the expo’s officials and participants every success in concluding commercial deals and partnerships that would strengthen the pillars of economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries.
