No Bahrainis among the Mecca victims

No Bahraini pilgrims were injured and killed in Mecca yesterday following the collapse of a crane, Bahrain Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday.
The ministry's officials contacted the Saudi authorities, who confirmed at 8.50 pm that no Bahrainis were currently among the victims.
The ministry earlier tweeted that Bahrain consulate in Jeddah was establishing contacts with Bahraini caravans to check on the pilgrimages.
The ministry asked Bahraini pilgrims to contact a hotline +966555799008 for assistance, or contact the consulate on 0126077370 or 0126077414.
It may be noted that around 87 pilgrims were killed and 183 others were injured after a crane collapsed in the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
